Buyer’s guide

How to buy a G37 without buying someone else’s problem.

A first-draft framework for the fully researched guide we will build together.

Editorial status: Draft framework. Do not treat this as complete mechanical advice until claims are sourced and reviewed.

Before shopping

Decide whether you want a coupe or sedan, rear- or all-wheel drive, and manual or automatic transmission.

Physical inspection

  • Inspect for leaks, low coolant, neglected fluids, warning lights, and poor-quality modifications.
  • Check tire brands and wear patterns.
  • Look underneath for impact damage and careless lowering.
  • Verify all interior electronics and controls.

Test drive

Start the car cold. Listen for abnormal noises, verify smooth idle, test every gear, and watch temperature stability.

Records and history

Ask for receipts, compare mileage records, check recalls, and arrange a pre-purchase inspection with a shop familiar with Nissan and Infiniti platforms.

When to walk away

Walk away when the seller refuses an inspection, warning lights were recently cleared, or modifications are poorly documented.
